2015 Raleigh Roper

Let your creativity run wild aboard Raleigh's versatile Roper! Combine the sweet ride of a chromoly frameset with cyclocross geometry and you have a ride that's ready for gravel-road exploration, all-weather commuting, and the occasional 'cross race. Wherever you pedal, the Shimano 105 drivetrain with tough Sammox cranks give you the gearing you need to scale steep grades and power along the flats. Finishing out the build are wide Clement tires, semi-aero Weinmann rims, and powerful Hayes disc brakes that pull it all to a stop. Other details that let your imagination run wild include fender, water bottle, and rack mounts.

    I live in Madison, WI, and use my Roper to travel 6 miles to school, and I do it with ease, even with climbing Capitol hill on E Wash. My bike is fitted with both a rack and fenders, and it is the perfect commuter bike for me. I am able to keep up with traffic on slopes and most flat areas, and the disc brakes make it really easy to stop even in rain, and if you're traveling 35+ mph down a hill, you need to be able to stop quickly Everything on this bike is smooth, shifting, pedaling, braking, nearly no noise. The only con I really have is it's a "tight" bike, and so the toe straps hit the front fender if I pedal while in a tight turn.
