Just starting to get back into riding. Mainly for the exercise as well as exploring Tampa. Whats great about it? So far just about everthing. shifting is effortless, braking is very responsive with the disc brakes. Even the seat is not as uncomfortable as it looks.

I test rode just about every other bike in the same class and price point and after just a couple of minutes of riding it was clear this bike is far and away the winner in my opinion of its class. I've taken it on a couple of rides and I am completley satisfied with its performance. I would highly recomend this bike.

I use this bike to bike around city roads mainly (groceries, gym, bank, etc), with the occassional longer bike ride (10-25 miles). This bike does a great job at what I need it for. The front fork lockout is a great feature. Riding on sidewalks and bumpy roads it soaks the bumps right up. When you want to go for a long ride on more smooth roads, the fork locks out easily and becomes more efficient. Also is great for light off-roading, over dirt and gravel surfaces. The hydraulic disk brakes are amazing. Never have I been concerned about stopping.Drivetrain is average, components are middle of the line. The frame is pretty light. The wheels roll very well! I coast so much faster and longer than my old bike.

I purchased this bike a few weeks ago. Since then I have put a few dozen miles on it; both on the road and in some light trails. This bike is what I was looking for. You can lock out the suspension while riding on the road and then flip it back while riding the trails. I've owned a Walmart special m entire life. I took this bike for a 9 mile lap around a local lake yesterday. Compared to the same on a different bike, this was WAY easier. Keep in mind, this bike seems to have more of a road tire than the Roams of previous years. To me, that is just fine; others might want more beefy tread. If you're doing serious trail riding, you might want to keep looking.. but if you ride on the road and don't do anything TOO crazy on the trails, this is the bike that you're looking for.

This is a fantastic bike! It moves quick and very responsive! It's been going strong each and everytime I take it out! I took it out on a light to heavy city commutes, long local bike trails and a couple of long 200+ mile tours and its been a dream... Thank You Giant!!!!!!

I live relativley close to where I work, so I decided to "go green" and began biking to work. The Roam 2 is a great bike to for commuting and for recreational long rides on the weekend. It handles obstacles and hills quite well. The only issue I found was that the handle bar grips slightly roll, but overall I'd say that it's a great bike for commuting and riding for fitness, not for competition.
