I've had this bike about a month. It is my third hybred, I ride in [...] which has some fairly good hills as well as lots of bike paths. I have been riding for 25 years and I love this bike. It gets me all over [...] County with ease and in comfort. Great Bike.

After 300 miles, mainly on country roads and some gravel,I am happy with this bike. It is a little heavier than I anticipated but in line with other bikes in this price range. The 27 speeds are great for hills. The lock out front suspension and disk brakes are a great addition. Probably would be ok on off road rides as well.

I needed a bike good for street and light off road when needed. I have an OLD IRON HORSE for the Mountains but to heavey as a street commuter. The folks at High Serria filled my needs with my ROAM 1. Great on the Road, Light and the Mechanics of the bike are awsome.

Purchased this bike to replace a high end Giant mountain bike that I'd had for too many years, that was stolen. At this stage I couldn't afford to replace with a comparable bike, and no longer ride in that fashion, so I settled for a bike that matched my budget and my current needs. This is a great bike for the price, the components are ok, and the disc brakes are pretty cool. I did opt for the men's version, since the disc brakes felt delayed on the women's version. I will probably upgrade some components as I go, and the budget allows, from the basic stuff that are stock. I use it for commuting and running errands around town. It handles every bit of terrain I've tried, and while I don't plan on mountain biking with it, it handles park trails easily with it's lock out suspension fork. I add a couple of panniers on the rear rack and it handles well fully loaded with 40 pounds of groceries. The black and white color scheme didn't thrill me at first, [...] But I added black and white accessories to really trick it out- Planet Bike fenders in white, Shimano SPD pedals in white, white Planet Bike computer, black and white saddle to replace the horrible version that Giant put on it. I also replaced the seat post to a U.S.E. shock post only because of a previous back injury. It makes this bike feel like a full suspension version. I've gotten quite a few comments on the cool look the bike now has. I'm pretty much a loyal Giant fan- they make a good bike and so far I've been impressed with both of mine. For my budget, this has gotten me back into commuting and producing a smaller carbon footprint.

All the components in this bike really go well together. I have owned the bike for only two and a half weeks and I put 150 miles on it so far so good. Thank you Al

Great bike. Purchase two months ago. Wanted a good road bike with the feel of a mountain bike. Roam 1 is cool looking yet aggressive enough to handle average trails. Still a good road bike for steet riding. Been able to average up to 13-15mph on hot flat South Florida roads. Giant did a great job creating this hybrid. This bike gives you the best of both workds. I did my research for months before deciding on this one. Trek & Speacialized want more price for less bike. You get disc brakes and lock out front forks. Great bike for the price. Good luck to those interested. Gp - South Florida
