'12 Giant Anthem X 29er 2

Roll up, over and down almost anything you want on Giant's Anthem X 29er 2. Big 29-inch wheels and Giant's Maestro rear suspension keep you glued to the trail while a tapered steerer and 15mm through axle on the 100mm travel RockShox Reba ensures a straight tracking guide down technical descents. Out back, the Monarch shock tames the hits no matter how hard you're charging down the trail. On the ride back up, a SRAM 3x10 drivetrain gives you plenty of gear range so you can spin the 29-inch Giant wheels. Other fine components include Avid Elixir brakes and Giant controls.

Comments:

I bought this bike a year ago from my LBS. It's my 1st 29er and best bike I've owned. I have no excuse for taking so long to post a review, just been riding my bike. :^D. It has allowed me to ride better than my skill set. I try to ride a trail at least once a week. I've only raced with it once, but I enjoyed every minute of the Turkey Mt. in Tulsa OK. I hope to race it more in the 2013 race season.I enjoy this bike so much, I went back to my LBS. I got my wife the 2013 Anthem X29erW . She is really enjoying her bike too.

Comments:

I bought this bike from [...] last week and love it (4 good rides on it so far) The bike handles great, climbs like a dream, and takes on anything a trail has to offer. This is my first 29er, and what a difference it makes over my previous 26inch mtn bike. The only item I may change on it is cutting down on the width of the handlebars, otherwise I have no complaints about this bike.I'm really happy about purchasing this bike!

My son and I each bought one. They suck up the bumps great while still maintaining excellent control. We both picked up taller handle bars for better comfort.

I went from 26 to 29er and Anthem X29er was my choice, test rode other 29ers but test rode this one on the trails and I was hooked, I quickly noticed how much faster I was and the climbs I could not make before on my 26, I do with ease.

        Comments:

Why did I wait 14 years to upgrade my bike? The technology is pretty amazing. It climbs like nobody's bussines. It carves turns, and stops amazingly. I have nothing but praise for Giant bikes, especially the Anthem 29er. Thanks to Curt for helping me find the perfect bike!
